M.S.B. Somms & Vineyards Daurat White Wine with Partial Aging

Daurat is a white wine with aging elaborated in the little town of Torrelavit, in the Designation of Origin Penedès, one of the oldest wine regions in Spain.

This wine has been produced with the collaboration of the renowned winemaker Ramon Parera.

Elaborated with 95% Xarel·lo and a 5% of Malvasia de Sitges that adds a hint of perfume to it, the wine comes from different selected vineyards within “Finca Can Comas” with ages that range from 30 to 55 years old.

After a hand-picked selected harvest and the following controlled alcoholic fermentation, 65% of the wine is aged in second-year 500 litres Oak Vats “Bocois” before blending it with the remaining 35% that has been resting in cement “Foudres”, prior to finally bottling it.

Daurat means “Golden”, a tribute to the historical region of Penedès and also, to the colour this grape reveals over time as it ages to its best potential.
